| About Us: We began as stained glass artist. In doing wine festivals in Virginia and North Carolina we discovered dumpsters full to capacity with discarded corks and wine bottles. When the shock wore off, we had to find a way to use this wealth of beautiful glass. And so reWINEd was born. In partnering with wineries, restaurants and earth conscience recyclers we can collect their discarded bottles and corks thus saving thousands of pounds from the landfills each week. |

Glass containers are 100% recyclable and can be recycled
endlessly. It comes in clear, blue, brown and green. All must be
separated to be recycled.
Every year 27 billion glass jars and bottles are thrown away in the
United States. Of those nearly 5 billion are recycled every year,
thats about 13 million a day.
80% of recycled glass containers are made into new glass bottles.
18% of all glass bottles are consumed in the form of wine, liquor or
beer bottles, of these only 15% are recycled.
