| In July 2010 we were invited to participate in the movie "Lake Effects". The shoot took place in October. We spent several cold evenings being a part of the SML Wine Festival shoot. It was an amazing experience. We would like to thank all the wonderful crew, Sara Elizabeth Timmins, Brittany Mayer, Chinah Helmandollar and Andy May, who made our experience memorable. We also enjoyed meeting several members of the cast: Scottie Thompson, Richard Moll, Mary Beth McDonough, Ben Savage and of course Smithy. We are anxiously awaiting the release of "Lake Effects" that showcases beautiful Smith Mountain Lake Virginia and many of our colorful characters! |

| Movie Update: On October 7, 8 and 9 the premier of "Lake Effects" came to Westlake! We attended the stars, crew and cast viewing. We had a great time, saw many recognisable site and faces. We enjoyed the plot and the way they spotlighted our beautiful lake. We were disappointed that our scenes ended up on the cutting room floor. We were briefly in the "Making of Lake Effects", and listed in the credits. All in all it was a wonderful and memorable experience. |
